Now that Lamar Odom has showed some great improvement on his road to recovery from his overdose, it sounds like he's ready to get back to basketball — and he has a friend willing to help out!

Last week, at Kobe Bryant's final game, Khloe Kardashian's estranged husband showed up and not only shared some feelings and memories with Black Mamba, he also opened up to Entertainment Tonight about getting back on the court and trying to play ball again!

Well it seems if Lamar is serious, he's got some help from former NBA player Baron Davis!

Though they were never teammates, Davis opened up to TMZ Sports about the possibility of having LO join him on his Drew League team! The Drew League is a VERY exclusive pro-am league that quite often draws in former NBA stars and has even gotten Kobe, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant to come out during their NBA off-seasons!

Baron even said:

"I'm going to reach out to LO to see if he would want to play alongside me on my team since he is wanting to return."

Though we're not sure if Lamar is physically ready, we hope that he can stay determined and driven to get in shape so we can see him on the court again!

What do you think about Odom returning to the game of basketball?!

Michael Strahan surprised everyone -- including his cohost Kelly Ripa -- when he decided to depart Live with Kelly and Michael for a gig on Good Morning America.

It seems pretty obvious Kelly is incredibly upset with her future former coworker, especially after she got the rug pulled out from under her like that!

But at least gurl has some powerful friends in her corner!

Oprah Winfrey recently chatted with Entertainment Tonight about the talk show drama and totally sided with Ripa, saying:
