After Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes and more of the modelling world's most famous faces strutted the runway at the Atelier Versace fashion show, a who's who of the industry descended on the Pavillon Ledoyen on Sunday (July 5) to raise money for amfAR and cocktail in high style.
Famed CR Fashion Book editrix Carine Roitfeld, a longtime supporter of the charity, hosted the star-studded Paris Couture Week event, which saw many a Versace-clad attendee raising a glass to support AIDS research. Donatella Versace arrived with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, both in floral gowns from the designer's latest collection. Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes also sat down to supper in the same floral headpieces they'd worn on the runway mere hours before.
Guests like Dita Von Teese, Nicky Hilton, Irina Shayk, Olivia Palermo and Christian Louboutin enjoyed a silent auction where the highest bid reached $75,000 for a Jeff Koons piece and Donatella snagged a photo of her dearly departed brother, Gianni Versace, shot by Andy Warhol. Later, Naomi Campbell danced the night away behind the DJ booth in a plunging black gown and Gladys Knight took the stage in a striped gown to sing her hit song "Midnight Train to Georgia."
amfAR is no stranger to celebrity-addled events, hosting a wildly glamorous annual event at Cannes where a similar slew of supermodels let their hair down after a week of red carpets and formal appearances. Last month, Miley Cyrus was honoured at the Inspiration Gala in New York, where Anderson Cooper played host and Mary J Blige took the stage for a spirited performance. But first, a Moschino-clad Miley hit the red carpet with Tyler Ford, an agender contestant on Oxygen's The Glee Project.
