Not even the date rape allegations will stop Bill Cosby from returning to the stage.

As the retrial in his sexual assault case looms ahead, the disgraced comedian honored Tony Williams on Monday night at LaRosa Jazz Club in Cosby's hometown of Philadelphia.

Cosby didn't avoid stepping on eggshells during his first public performance since 2015, which saw him telling tales about his childhood, playing drums, and even joking about his fall from grace.

According to the Associated Press, he handed his drumsticks to the son of the bass player and quipped:

"I used to be a comedian."

Ha… at least he can laugh at his own demise?

Cosby didn't beat around the bush after the show, either. When asked by reporters if he had any comments about his upcoming retrial, the 80-year-old's publicist tried to brush off the question — but Cosby responded by saying:

"No ma'am. I came here tonight to enjoy being with my friends and the musicians and the people who came… That was a lot of fun."

As for if it was tough for the actor to go out in public these days, not knowing how people will react, Cosby said:

"No… This is life, and life changes. It's not to be feared to go out. I go out."

Cosby has been keeping a low profile since he went to trial last year over Andrea Constand's allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted her at his home in 2004. After the jury remained "hopelessly deadlocked," the judge declared a mistrial.

A retrial will begin on March 29 in suburban Philadelphia. Cosby pled not guilty and has maintained his innocence, despite dozens of other women accusing him of similar claims.

We are SO about this year's Oscar nominations!

For starters, Jordan Peele's Get Out got SO much love from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. We mean, after getting snubbed at the Golden Globes, we're thrilled Peele has walked away with SEVERAL nominations.

Still, there were some noticeable snubs on the nominations list. Case in point, James Franco's name was nowhere to be seen. That sexual misconduct scandal likely played a factor here. Eek.

Regardless -- why the heck was Wonder Woman ignored by the Academy?? Smh. Be sure to discover the other surprises and snubs for yourself (below)...
