Benson, 25, took to Instagram on Friday to share a tribute to the man behind the makeup.
"Honestly can't believe this," the actress captioned the photo. "Was just with you last week. My sweet angel. #rip Jake Bailey you'll be terribly missed."
The photo shows Bailey in the middle of doing Benson's makeup, as they stop and he smiles for the camera as she gives duck lips and a peace sign.

Bailey, 37, was found by his assistant on Friday morning in his home from an apparent suicide. An autopsy is to be completed by the L.A. County Coroner's Office, but it appears that Bailey may have suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, TMZ reports.
Paris Hilton also used social media to acknowledge the death of her friend and makeup artist. The starlet shared a group photo and expressed how "sad, shocked and devastated" she was at the news.

Among Benson and Hilton are other celebs like Maria Menounos, Octavia Spencer and Emmy Rossum, who all expressed their sympathies via twitter, with Rossum adding, "If there are angles in heaven, they just got a little prettier… because Jake is up there painting their faces… putting lashes on them…"

The makeup artist worked with the likes of Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Mariah Carey, among others.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Bailey's rep remembered the loving person he was and described him as "passionate" and "an undeniable talent."
"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Jake Bailey's passing. He was an undeniable talent, a great friend, a loving son and brother, and our grief is shared with all those whose lives he's touched."
The rep continues, "As one of the industry's most sought after makeup artists, Jake worked with an incredible client roster and his work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair, andAllure. He collaborated with some of the top photographers in the fashion and entertainment industries and was also a passionate photographer himself. Jake was a mentor to many, and his work will continue to inspire. He will be truly missed by those who knew him."
